About Us
Arcadia Episcopal Preschool is open year-round, providing care for 43 children, ages 2 through 5 years. Our center hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Our families receive personal attention from staff and management.
Admission Policy: We welcome preschool children who would benefit from our program regardless of race, sex, creed, color, religion, and national or ethnic origin.
Application Form and Fee: Parents seeking to have their child attend Arcadia Episcopal Preschool must fill out an application form and pay the application fee of $50, which is nonrefundable. The school accepts children on a first come, first served basis.
The Staff: We are proud that we have a low turnover of teachers during the year. Our staff members are selected through a rigorous screening process. All staff members have current CPR and first-aid training. In addition to having experience and a love for children, each teacher is knowledgeable in providing activities that produce efficient learners. The teachers attend a yearly in-service training to keep them up to date on new discoveries in the field of early-childhood education. We employ five teachers and an assistant director who can substitute in the classroom when a teacher is ill. Some teachers are bilingual in Spanish, German, American Sign Language and Indonesian.
Arcadia Episcopal Preschool is accredited by The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles. We also use resources from NAEYC: Developmentally Appropriate Practices in Early Childhood Programs, and Prekindergarten Learning Development Guidelines, published by the California Department of Education.
