Parent Involvement
Arcadia Episcopal Preschool values family involvement and believes that parent participation strengthens the school community and supports children’s educational experience.
Families are expected to contribute to the school community through parent participation opportunities, volunteer support, donations, special events, or other approved involvement.
Parent Participation Requirement
Arcadia Episcopal Preschool asks each family to complete 20 parent participation hours per school year.
A donated item may count toward parent participation hours at the school’s approved conversion rate. If fulfilling the parent participation requirement would create a hardship for your family, please speak with the Preschool Director.
Examples of Parent Participation
Parent participation opportunities may include:
- classroom help
- office assistance
- room parent support
- laundry support
- event support
- campus projects
- donations for classrooms or school events
- special event volunteering
- other school-approved service opportunities
Parents are responsible for ensuring that volunteer hours and approved donations are properly logged in the school’s designated tracking system.
The Staff
All staff members have current CPR and first-aid training. In addition to having experience and a love for children, each teacher is knowledgeable in providing activities that produce efficient learners.
All staff are required to meet standards set by California Licensing and requirements set by the Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese.
